COMPETITION AND SUSTAINABILITY
Allegro Consulting provides expert advice in the assessment of a company’s activities related to long-term sustainability in the framework of competition law and economics. Environmental and sustainability considerations are increasingly more important in cartel and non-cartel (merger) cases, as well as in various market investigations initiated by competition authorities.
Allegro Consulting positions itself in the forefront of developing new tools to address the questions related to sustainability and the impact of market conducts on the environment. Competition authorities in Europe are progressively considering more sustainable solutions both in the case of merger investigations as well as cartels.
The objective of the EU Green Deal is to transform the European economies into modern, resource-efficient and competitive markets. The EU’s goal is to become completely climate-neutral by 2050. The Competition Commission is actively seeking solutions to adopt to this new situation. The ultimate aim is to apply current EU competition rules and adopt new policies to achieve the objectives of the Green Deal. We are still in the beginning of this transformation, Allegro Consulting is dedicated to take part of it.
If your company is considering bringing forward sustainability-related arguments in a competition procedure, Allegro Consulting can help identify those, measure the (expected) impact, and propose solutions to the competition problem identified by the authority.
